Vase Marked

Find a jar of clay with a makers mark on the bottom and I am interested to know who did it and when it was made. Have no idea where to begin.
You can check the info on the following website, or check with your local library if they carry all the books on ceramics, particularly brands of tea ceramics. Best of luck!
