What was feared that a flat relative or friend makes the holidays that nobody wants?

I must say that for years years and one over sausage balls EVERY year for the holidays. We were so tired of them, but he has no heart to say, 'OK, thanks, but enough already! lol

Oh, what a great question. My favorite aunt used to make a mold lime jello with shredded carrots and marshmallows topped with Cool Whip (or something like that). We never had the courage to tell him not to do and we always felt compelled to have. But I suspect that the dog has some portions under the table.
