Where can I find antiques?

I am a huge fan of history and I'm studying ancient Greece and Rome University and I would like to start my own collection of ancient artifacts such as coins, vases etc. Where can I go to find?

Roman coins can often be found fairly cheap. Tell a numismatist near you. Pottery fragments can be hard to find in the United States, but I had a teacher who tells us when she was a child in England, they would find so old Roman pottery which they crushed and used in their gardens. I do not know where you are, so that may or may not be useful.
