Tips for maintaining a limited edition book for the largest value in the future?

I got a new book for Christmas. Its a limited edition pre-release copy was signed by the author. I also know that the author has sold the rights to the book be transformed into a movie. I would appreciate any advice on how to best preserve the book if it keeps the highest value in the future. Could it devalue book so I covered with plastic contact? Thank you for any information.

Do not wrap in effect in non-coverage mylan acid without flexures or jacket or break the spine of the book. Keep out of direct sunlight in an enclosed space to avoid it is contaminated by dust, keep out of reach and the house (!) any smoking or wearing perfume somewhere. (Oh, and read a copy of the library.) If you want to go through, you can also pay to have it placed in an airtight sleeve with inert gas to prevent the foxing and other forms of degradation. CHeck places like www.bookfinder.com, www.abebooks.com, etc., to keep a running estimate of its value. It May not be what you think, especially if it is a CRA.
