Is it acceptable to give a gold dipped rose to my boyfriend for a birthday present?

or given a medal Golden Cross was a bit girly? it seems to be something a guy should be given to a young girl, and not vice versa. Is this a bad idea? = /

Do you know if they like flowers or not? My guy has a collection of stuffed animals and he loves the flowers, I know what some say, but it is human and makes no excuses for loving this kind of thing. If your man loves flowers, so it's a perfectly appropriate gift that he will cherish.
