Matte Glaze

My 8 yr old Persian bows his head and gets this glazed look when I touches his left ear or the top of his head. Also, I noticed the little hair on top of his head is all mats. I hope that not sick.
It is possible that your cat may have an ear infection, ear mites, or irritation of another nature. I would take him to the vet where they can make a cytological smear or to see if there is a type of bacteria or yeast in the ears Your cat could cause him discomfort. If so, they may give you medicine to treat it easily. Your cat will thank you!
