falling flowers!?

I am new to flower arranging, and I use the wet sponge in the green vase to secure my flowers up. Problem: If my flowers are too heavy (like lilies) or I changed my opinion on the establishment of other flowers (made holes are now empty) sponge disintigrates literally. Of course, this ruins the arrangement at my flowers fall around and I found everything from the beginning. Is not there a better way to keep my flowers in wet brick? PS I give 90% of my creations below. Frogs are too expensive to provide. The stem rises gently, but the real flower falls. I do not use foam bricks, but they disintegrate easily. Is this what you speak or is it Anothr kind of foam?

Could you use smaller (shorter) vases so the stems are shorter and have less need of support?? Visit your local Hobby Lobby or Michael's for other ideas ....
