I need a simple recipe for making chocolate-coated bullets Peanut Butter, without using a water bath. Make all recipes call for Rice Krispies? I have never done before, but I've had and I do not remember having Rice Krispies in them. But all the recipes I have found this call.
Nope ... Rice Krispies and not as long as you keep the melted chocolate over very low, you should not have to use a double boiler. Remember that chocolate burns quickly. Maybe if you melt the chocolate and kept in a small pot that is in a larger pot of boiling water water.that would be nice ... bath fortune. Anywya is the recipe for Buckeyes: Buckeyes 1 1 / 2 cup peanut butter 1 cup butter, softened 1 / 2 teaspoon vanilla extract 6 cups confectioners sugar '4 cups chocolate chips semisweet In a large bowl, stir together peanut butter, butter, vanilla and icing sugar. The dough will be dry. Roll balls in 1 inch and place on wax paper-lined cookie sheet. Press a toothpick into the top of each ball (to be used later as the handle take a dip) and chill in the freezer until firm, about 30 minutes. Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler or bowl set over a saucepan of barely simmering water. Stir frequently until smooth. Dip frozen balls of peanut butter in chocolate stands on the toothpick. Leave a small portion of peanut butter showing at the top to make them look like Buckeyes. Put on cookie sheet and put in refrigerator until serving.
