Ceramic Serving

For anyone who has had braces or ceramic? How easily they stain? Did you have to give up a lot of food so they do not stain. Please help. I get them on Thursday and I need to decide now! Oh by the way. I am 16 years old. So I really do not want metal braces I .. do not want to look stupid. Opinions? This is would look. People tell me I should not have elastic clear though .. What color should I expect to still serve the purpose of braces ceramic (not being able to see)
