I bought 6 bread and butter plate Value Village, and now that I have at home I can smell the smoke that has probably been involved in ceramics for many years. I have already dishsoap washed in, but it did not alter the smell ...
Try washing them with vinegar and lemon (but not the Dowse soak in '). Open windows and let dry.Use cloth and try to repeat this throughout the week at least twice.
