How do I decorate my living room red cranberry?

My husband and I just painted our bedroom cranberry life. I begin to think about decoration ideas, but I have trouble understanding what will work with bright colors and style of the house. It is a bungalow 1920s, so I want to keep that old style comfortable and mix with some classic designs Pottery Barn. We have a green / brown Pottery Barn sofa, chair Club oversized brown rectangular ottoman (used as an alternative to coffee table), and beige carpet / Persian sage. I thought of black and white photographs of places we visited, but I need other options. Perhaps vintage Parisian / Italian posters? Would it be too busy / good? What are your suggestions Accent are finishing, decorations, wall finishes and photo frame? Also, is it normal to have dark wood furniture with black-wall art frames?

SOOO funny! One of my design projects at the school began as a study of the cranberry (yeah, cranberries) ... which led to a my color palettes: cranberry shades of espresso brown, cream and deep earth / green moss. Sound like the colors in your living room. Anyway, I digress. The only thing I noticed in your description (except the club president) is a lack of grounds. At least it sounds like everything in your living room a solid color (except of course for the Persian carpet). I wondered if perhaps a little well-placed cushions, made with upholstery Special fabric that you will find that understands the nuances of cranberry, browns and greens would add a little sparkle? Find two or three fabrics that complement other. You know: that which is healthy mixture of the three, the one most often Cranberry and one that is most often a better (or real) green that which occurs in the sofa color carpet /. One of them is linked to another color, or colors, you can add to your palette, opening the door to other additions to your site. The first decades of the 1900s were returned to the individual craftsman art ... because the industrial revolution had brought about the need for craftsmen at the turn of the century. Find a couple of interesting pieces of artisan times (or wannabe's from those times) would complement this old style I think you are ... and help maintain the heat I think you are looking for. Even something like making a house a few votive candle holders cheap from blocks of hardwood. Those who carry the wood floor at eye level ... If are bonded to the idea of Stark b & w photos on the wall (That I do not think it's a bad idea), you can mount shelves (With hidden support) on a wall, staggered or in unison. A strategic location depression glass vase with calla lilies really good fake (or green Light / White hydrangea globes) would go with what you are already a decoration. Pottery Barn is definitely a great place to shop: they take old styles and make them modern (LOVE their old oscillating fans ....). Anyway, I like what one commentator said on the use of other metal frames for the pictures you put on the wall. Anyway, not sure if all this has helped brainstorming. Sounds like what you've rich, warm and wonderful. I am sure that whatever you add to this will be quite charming. Good luck.
