Art Pottery For Sale

I have a 2 'x 2' x 3 '(WxDxH) planter. What tree with a good shade cover is adapted to plant it?

I have a garden with contemporary custom planters in the area that is 3 feet high with an opening 2 'x 2' on top. I'm looking for a tall tree or a plant Nice to put in it that would add shade to my backyard and made a contemporary design. I do not know what that would do well to high plants growing in a pot as stress / planter. I think some species of bamboos, but I am helpless when it comes to botany. Does anyone that suggestions for me? I live in Houston, so there must be something suitable for a rainy climate warmer, humid (+ / - few days cold of winter). I prefer something low maintenance and Hardy. Thank you in advance! Some things to add "My backyard is fully covered by an apron, so I did the farmer said to work with and secondly, the planter is attached to the deck, so it is quite well insured.

Use a planter the size of something ornamental. A tree with leaves to produce sufficient shade will act like a sail and the planter will pass. Plant shade trees in your soil. Redbuds produce a nice amount of shade for their size.
