California Pantry
Posted in Art Pottery on 03/13/2010 09:12 pm by adminI have a decanter flip-top that says: "Spirit of the Moonlight"?
The photo on the side is a woman in 1950-60s Looking 2 piece swimsuit, sitting near a lake or river in the moonlight. The bottom of the jug says "Retro Ad Art (c) 1997 AdGraphics. In center on the bottom is the California Pantry TM. I did a simple google search and found this image as wallpaper for download (http://www.topdownloads.net/mobile/view.php?id=14063) so you can go and see the image. I'm eager to learn the source image - Where and how it was originally used. Ten points to him who points me in the right direction. TIP: it looks like something rather retro .... Retro Ad Art and has a website.
Your question leads me to evoke memories of my misspent youth: On a rooftop in Brooklyn up to 1950-60, not quite a carafe of Thunder-bird (a beautiful mind, in fact) to my lips. But in a two-piece bathing suit? NEVER! PS: Yes, I'll write something for 10 points.
