The ban on Italian fish bowl??

I was surfing the net and came across an article that said new Italy adopted a law prohibiting a small fish bowl and the dog owner need to walk the dog three times a day. I was wondering what your oppionion on this summer, and do you think it would be a good idea for pet owners to be licensed?? Before you get angry because I request for a debate at work, and I just want other peoples views on the subject. Thank you to them E.

I have seen this topic discussed in the forum of reptiles in the past as well. I think the "intent" of people behind these ideas are good - concerned about the welfare of animals promoting the education of potential owners of the species they want to keep before you buy. Several U.S. states have already Such legislation governing the keeping of wild or exotic animals. My animal veterinarian works' with exotic products confiscated and one years ago, more time for mentoring others who want to own exotic Thessalian so they can learn care, feeding, It has so many people interned with him at all times. Some states require wildlife rehabilitators to have a sort of state license or certification and are required to pass a test showing they understand the needs of species with which they work in relation to housing, food, and so result. I think that the "bills" are designed as an extension of that. And come on, how many times have you seen a question in this forum and thought to your car, "Geeze, what do you people think?" When you read the levels of stocks, cash, trying to be preserved (together, or too small a tank), and so on? It would be nice if people did a little research on this iridescent shark, Columbian sharks, pufferfish, turtle, chameleon, the spider monkey, parrot, or whatever - before they bought. And a much better way of life of the animal purchased. I think the majority of owners of pets will do some reading on care (possibly), so places like this forum exists - to educate pet owners. But education can go far - and often too late to benefit animals. Add to that, too many people are prone to "impulse buy", and the regulations do not address directly the issues of most impulse purchases - the 'livestock designer "(hybrids, dyed, fish, fish tattooed)," rare finds ", or people who make these available. Although I believe that the intention is good, I think these laws will be useless for two reasons - people do not like additional rules to take their "personal choice / Freedom "to take care of their own pets and the lack of any realistic enforcement proceedings (which will check how of times you walk your dog or measure your fish tank - and God forbid, you forget to top it off the tank and the water volume is less than what is necessary for your species in this age / size!). Without mentioning any "invasion" of privacy "issues having to enter your home to check on the welfare of pets inside.
